Medieval Brewery Tycoon Ale Abbey Raises a Glass for First Public Demo Release Today

Ale Abbey, the medieval brewery tycoon sim from developer Hammer & Ravens and publisher Shiro Unlimited, launches a brand new free demo, available now on the Steam page ahead of its participation in October’s Steam Next Fest from Monday, Oct. 14-Monday Oct. 21, 2024.

Don the robes of a medieval brewmaster responsible for the construction and performance of an abbey. Expand the monastery’s operation by hiring and training more monks. Establish essential chambers including a library to further research and a dormitory for monks to retire after a long day. Construct a laboratorium to test new and exotic recipes, then to craft a delicious assortment of  lagers, stouts, porters, and more.

Manually configure the mash and fermentation, then implement an automated production system. Gain fortune and fame by selling the abbey’s irresistible ales. Keep local Lords hoppy and satisfied by catering to their specific requests or bribe bandits with boozy rewards to guarantee unobstructed trade deals. Give back to the community and feed the less fortunate to maintain the reputation of the monastery.

“Cheers to Ale Abbey’s first demo and its upcoming launch,” said Emiliano Pastorelli, Game Director at Hammer & Ravens. “Hopheads can get hands-on with the intricate processes of brewing, creating and tweaking new recipes, and interacting with a period-accurate community system to keep in the beer making spirit all year round.”

Ale Abbey will launch for PC on Steam in Q4 2024 with English, Spanish, French, Chinese, German, and Russian language support.
