Awaken Realms, a tabletop publisher making its Steam debut with developer Chicken Launcher, is pleased to announce that post apocalyptic farming sim No Place Like Home is leaving early access and officially launching on Steam today, 17th March 2022.
Earth has been abandoned in pursuit of a new life on Mars. But not by everyone. No Place Like Home tasks players with bringing the planet back from the brink of ecological disaster as mankind left it to collapse under mountains of waste. By recycling, clearing, crafting and cooking players forge a brighter, more sustainable future for Earth, remembering that there’s no place like home.
Environmental doom aside, No Place Like Home offers a relaxing and satisfying experience as dumping grounds turn into dairy farms, and rubbish into a rural community. The new Creative Mode allows players to enjoy No Place Like Home for the pure joy of transforming and building this new life, free from objectives and money worries. But for those who want to save the planet, take the role of Ellen Newland as she rebuilds her Grandpa’s farm, helps the community and rescues animals, all the while trying to find her missing Grandpa.
“To leave early access and launch on Steam is a real milestone for No Place Like Home, and we couldn’t have done it without our community’s support.” commented Adrian Komarski, Co-Founder of publisher Awaken Realms. “It has been very important to us to make sure the community’s voice is heard, and they’ve really helped shape and make No Place Like Home the game it is today. From its humble beginnings, we’re incredibly proud of No Place Like Home, especially as it balances its serious environmental message with a fun, relaxing and satisfying game.”.
